Principal's Corner

Dear Taylor County Elementary School Family,

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year! As the summer is winding down we anxiously await your arrival for the first day of school. We look forward to seeing our veteran students again and meeting all of our new students. We hope you will find this school year to be a memorable and exciting one. Collaboration is a key component to smooth transitions and a successful school year taking place; therefore we strongly encourage you to read this parent/student handbook thoroughly. It will tell you exactly what we expect from each student and what services and benefits are available at our school.

It is important for all Bulldog family members to give their best each and every day. I challenge everyone in the TCES community to “win the day”. To our precious students: you are a valuable member of a great team we have here at our school. I encourage you to attend school with one mission in mind; to give your very best effort while portraying the highest level of respect for your teachers and peers. To our favorite parents and guardians: we are so proud to have you and your child on our team. To go along with our theme this year, Talent Wins Games, but Teamwork Wins Championships, we want you to feel like you are truly a part of our team. We are here for you and your child and want to help in any way we can. You are an instrumental part of our team and your support is greatly appreciated.

Our teachers and staff are eager to work with you and your child in attaining academic excellence and success this school year. We will go above and beyond to prepare your child for the next grade level. Please encourage your child daily to follow the school rules and give maximum effort in their school work while being a team player, and I assure you that he or she will have a great experience at Taylor County Elementary School this year.

Mr. Charles S. Finley

Proud Principal
